Elie Hirschfeld Supports Ambassadors Against BDS and First Anti-BDS Conference at the United Nations

ambassadorsagainstbdsThe World Jewish Congress and Israel’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations co-hosted a special conference on the delegitimization of Israel, at the UN headquarters in New York on March 29. The annual Ambassadors Against BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement) summit brought together over 2,000 students, dignitaries, public officials, diplomats and opinion makers.

US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, who was the first US governor to sign into law anti-BDS legislation, addressed the conference participants at the opening plenary session in the General Assembly Hall. Ambassador Haley said, “Silence is weakness, silence is defeat,” Danon said. “We are all here to say we cannot, we will not, be silent.” Continue reading

New York Developer Elie Hirschfeld to Meet Pope Francis in Rome Representing Rabbi Arthur Schneier and the Park East Synagogue in Rome’s Great Synagogue on January 17

Elie Hirschfeld, the principal and president of privately held New York City ownership and development group Hirschfeld Properties is traveling to Rome to greet Pope Francis on his visit to the Great Synagogue of Rome on January 17, 2016. Pope Francis will become the third-ever Roman Pontiff to visit Rome’s Great Synagogue, following in the footsteps of St. John Paul II in 1986 and Benedict XVI in 2010.

Hirschfeld is representing Rabbi Arthur Schneier and The Park East Synagogue, and will greet the Pope on the momentous occasion. Hirschfeld is coming as a guest of the Chief Rabbi of Rome, Riccardo Shmuel Di Segni, and Rabbi Joseph Arbib, both leaders of the Great Synagogue. According to the Vatican, this visit will include a personal encounter between Pope Francis and representatives of Judaism worldwide, and the members of the Jewish Community in Rome. The Clintons’ former summer home is on the market for $32.5 million

Bill and Hillary Clinton spent two summers at the historic property, at 211 Lily Pond Ln., in both 2011 and 2012 before a reported dispute over a security deposit led them to look elsewhere. They were at the property for Hurricane Irene and for the former president’s 66th birthday.

One of the largest office-leasing deals of 2014 slipped quietly under the radar in the spring when the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration renewed nearly 600,000 square feet in West Chelsea, The Real Deal has learned.

The New York division office of the federal law enforcement agency signed on with Elie Hirschfeld at Hirschfeld Properties in May to renew its 570,000 square feet at 99 Tenth Avenue, a 10-story former industrial building occupying a full block between the High Line and the Hudson River. Elie Hirschfeld of Hirschfeld Properties Signs Lease Renewal At 328 61st Street

Hirschfeld Properties LLCelie-hirschfeld-2 has signed a renewal lease with Gotham Martial Arts for its entire third floor at 328 East 61st Street, for the continued operation of its business there, it was announced today. Terms of the 3,000 sq. ft. deal were not disclosed.

The six-story building continues to be fully occupied by health and physical fitness industry enterprises. Other tenants include The Fitness Cell Private Trainers, The Ballet Club, Honbu Dojo Studio, Earth Yoga Studio and Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Continue reading
